Advanced Email Defense

Reduce Phishing, Impersonation, and Business Email Compromise Risk

Email is still the most common way small businesses get breached. We manage the full stack — filtering, authentication, and executive protection — as an ongoing program.

Advanced Email Defense

Email remains the entry point for most successful attacks on small businesses — a convincing invoice, a spoofed executive request, a well-timed impersonation. Default filtering catches the obvious cases. It misses the sophisticated ones.

Advanced Email Defense is a specialty area for us. We tune and manage Microsoft email protections, implement advanced email-security controls where the risk profile calls for them, build out SPF, DKIM, and staged DMARC enforcement, and add extra protection for executives and other high-value targets. Ongoing reporting keeps leadership informed of the threats and actions that matter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and Microsoft's default email protection?

Microsoft Exchange Online Protection provides a baseline. We assess your threat profile, tune Microsoft protections, add advanced email-security controls where appropriate, and manage the program continuously.

Do we need an additional email-security platform if we already have Microsoft 365?

Not always. The right architecture depends on your risk profile, existing Microsoft licensing, executive exposure, regulatory needs, and the level of managed protection you require. We assess the environment before recommending additional controls.

How does DMARC enforcement work, and is it risky?

DMARC enforcement is rolled out gradually — from monitoring only, to quarantine, to full rejection — so legitimate email is identified and corrected before enforcement tightens. Jumping straight to strict enforcement without that process can block real mail, which is why we manage the rollout.

What happens if we get hit with a phishing attempt?

We investigate the message, contain the exposure, and provide remediation guidance — coordinated with your Managed Cyber Protection service if you have it, or as a standalone response if not.
